Everyone on version 1.7.2 (17200) needs to update immediately. Devices running older versions of the app will still work, but we recommend they update as soon as possible as well.

What happened?

We released an android app update with a bug in it that eventually causes monitoring to malfunction and puts additional stress on our server infrastructure. We didn’t notice the problem initially because it only started occurring after a significant number of people had updated. The app update 1.7.2 (17200) is the problematic update.

We discovered the problem at 12pm on May 5th. By 12:45pm on 5/5 we had submitted an app update to Google. This new version (1.8.0) is currently under review by Google available as of 2:45am on May 7th.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We work hard to keep Truple as stable as possible, and we recognize that we failed here. It’s been a humbling and stressful experience to say the least. With that being said, this is the first major issue we’ve had in ~18 months. We want to thank all of you for being patient with us while we fix this.
