New users are often confused whether the accountability partner should sign up or the individual who needs to be held accountable. In most circumstances, it doesn’t matter. Truple emails all accountability partners whenever significant changes are made to the account. However some users requested that they, as the account owners, would like to block their ability to change settings. For these customers, Truple has released account locking.
How does the account lock work?
The account lock is quite simple. Once the account is locked, the account owner will be unable to modify devices settings, delete email recipients, or cancel the subscription. If they wish to make any of these changes, the account must first be unlocked.
How do I lock my account
Locking the account is easy. Just go to https://app.truple.io/account and login with your subscribed Truple account. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the “Lock account” button.
Choose one of your email recipients who will receive the unlock pin when you need to unlock.
Once you select an individual, and click “Lock Account” your account will be locked.
How do I unlock my account
To unlock your account, go to https://app.truple.io/account and login with your subscribed Truple account. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the “Unlock account” button.
Then click the “Send unlock pin” button, which will send the random pin* to your accountability partner. Once received, they can share the pin with the account owner enabling them to unlock their account. Simply enter the pin in, and click the “Unlock” button.
Upon unlocking, all email recipients will receive an email stating the account has been unlocked.
* Pins are randomly generated upon locking the account. Clicking the “Send Unlock pin” button does not result in the pin changing. Only unlocking and relocking causes the pin to change.
** If your accountability partner goes rouge, or their email account gets stolen, contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we can provide you with the pin.
